Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler – Grills
The Best Grills Reviews – I should say I have wanted this small baby from the instant I viewed the commercial. I’ve got a Foreman griddle and I liked it but I wanted something that might do lots more than just griddle and didn’t take up lots of counter space. Enter the Griddler. I must say the price at Amazon was less expensive then anywhere I found it in PA and that was counting the Black Fri. bargains. Back to the griddle. I have cooked breakfast on it for the previous week, the time it has saved me in the am is actually worth the cost. I might counsel it heats quicker if you leave it closed then open it flat when the go light comes on Clean up is a simple case of placing a moist disposable towel between the plates as it cools down lifting the lid wiping the plates and your done ( somebody here suggested that tip many thanks ).
I griddled steaks yesterday evening with onions and mushrooms perfection. Griddled sandwiches are a no-brainer and now I haven’t got to try to work out where I put my press! I leave it right on my counter top. Personally I like easy compact and pro this baby has it all.
We found Amazon.com to have the best prices on all Grills including the George Foreman Next Grilleration 4-Burger Grills. Click Here to check it out.

Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler – Grills Reviews
We started by buying one of those for ourselves from Amazon, and quickly got a 2nd as a gift for my in-laws – having Amazon ship it for FREE right to their door nearly three thousand miles from us. We experienced a reasonably major warping of one of the 2 grill plates. It warped upward on the griddle side right where grease should drain to the reservoir below the unit. This was not good since grease will not flow uphill and, were the beef or burgers oily enough, would lead directly to grease overflow onto the sides of the Griddler itself. Both Amazon & Cuisinart were very useful – shipping a replacement to us in just a couple of days without even having to return the flawed part.
Since that time one of the plates has developed an a lot less heavy warping in the same place, and we are keeping an eye fixed on it. As for the in-laws ‘ Griddler it was regarded as having a problem in the sense that the plate release buttons needed to be pushed Terribly tough to make them release. We were visiting them right after sending it to them and, after we saw their difficulty in the removal of the plates, we called Amazon. Again, Amazon & Cuisinart could not have been more receptive and Cuisinart sent a replacement unit with return shipping label for the defective one. The replacement arrived before we had to go back home – a period of a few days.
Since that point they employ it regularly and had no issues. As for the cooking performance, the Griddler excels matched against rivals like George Foreman. Where it excels is in its capability to seal the exterior of the beef before it is done cooking. Our large George Foreman would cook a steak to a horrible shade of grey, where steaks cooked on the Griddler have that striped, griddled appearance you get from an out of doors griddle. And it’s extremely fast. Once heated and prepared to cook it takes roughly 3-4 minutes for just about anything you are barbecuing. The George Foreman nonetheless, is better at draining grease since its cooking surfaces are leaned downward – making efficient use of gravity.
The Griddler’s twin purpose design won’t make allowances for that very same downhill lean.
Talking of that twin purpose, we have never utilized the grill side for anything, yet, so we will not say with certainty how well it cooks eggs, pancakes, bacon or whatever. However I cannot see why it would not do a fine job since it does have temperature controls – something lacking on most counter-top griddles. P.S. Amazon had the most acceptable price and shipping was FREE. Go Amazon!!

I have the ‘cheaper’ version…,!
Mine has only 2 knobs ; a temperature select and the selector for Griddle Or Panini. What’s the difference, if any, between the 2 settings?????? Both settings heat up the same as the other. No difference at all that I am able to tell. I have cooked the very same things using one ‘Grill ‘ setting and ‘Panini ‘ next …no difference. If I griddle with it open and set on Panini…still does the same like it were on ‘Grill’…. Please, if any person has a concept about why the 2 different settings, I wish to know.
The three knob version does not appear to be any different except that you have 2 temperature setting knobs that both do the same thing???????? WHAT? Why don’t you have just off or on and one temp selector? The sole other setting I want is to be in a position to Griddle on only 1 plate and not need to heat both. Doubtless the best would be the top to even out the usage of the plates. ( and yes mine also will drop a lot in temperature before heating again ).
